Sometimes it's the hidden damage that is the most devastating to your home.

As a homeowner, when you find damage, it sometimes seems easiest to circumvent the experts and do it yourself.  After all, who doesn't like to save money for something you can do yourself?  In the before photo this homeowner had begun to see the signs of water damage from a possible slow leak and decided to tear them out himself because the was planning on replacing the outdated cabinets.  What he found behind the cabinets was a sea of mold, and the more he removed, the more mold he found.  He knew he was in over his head and decided to call the experts at SERVPRO of Alachua County West to complete the job with the proper equipment and protocol.  The after photo is after our technicians had removed all porous affected materials and cleaned and encapsulated the remaining non-porous materials in such a manor as to keep our technicians and other rooms of the house safe from contamination.
